On Saturday we loaded up the swagger (van) and headed to the shore' for the day. The main purpose of the trip was to check out the progress of the house... but while we were in the area we also decided to check out various things such as banks, parks, playgrounds, daycares, and we even drove by Gabe's potential elementary school.
It is definitely going to be an adjustment... this town is not quite the fast pace... commercialized town that we are used to....so while we are super excited to move into our new house... we are a little sad to be leaving the area we have called "home" for the last 5 years and the area I have called home my entire life...
After checking out the town, we met up with Grams, Gramps, Pop-pop, and RB at our new house. We had not seen the house since we agreed to sign the next 30 years of paychecks away... and this was their first time seeing the house. We've been getting regular updates on the progress of the house but we were excited to actually get to see it!
Here we go!! Open it up Gabe!
We have paint...
light fixtures...
a fireplace...
kitchen cabinets...
a few appliances...
tile around the tub...
and shower...
and even some landscaping!
While we were checking things out, Gabe became quite restless... so we send him outside with 3 babysitters ;)
Gabe's pop-pop bought him this silly little park ranger vest while visiting Uncle Mike in Arizona. He looked absolutely ridiculous and adorable in this vest :)
As it turns out this vest comes in handy for rock collecting... which kept Gabe occupied for quite some time!
