Noah Adam's Baptism Continued...

*****************************************************
The following pictures were taken 1 1/2 months after the Baptism...  I just wanted to get one more round of photos before Noah outgrew his Baptism outfit :)  It's amazing to see how much my little scrawny chicken has filled out... and how handsome does Gabe look in his little suit!?!

Noah Adam's Baptism

Since most of our family and friends were there for the Adam Thompson 5K Run/Walk... we decided to have Noah's baptism after the race.  I can't even express in words how special this day was for me... just like my wedding day and the day my children were born... this was a day that I will forever hold near and dear to my heart.
Just like with Gabe's baptism, Pastor Nick (who also married Andy and I) did the ceremony at Grammy's house, as we gathered around the family room.  Noah didn't scream too much... in fact it was Gabe who was a little rowdy and crabby!
I wish we would have recorded the ceremony, as it was extra special as Pastor Nick told stories about both Noah AND Adam from the bible...  I also wish I would have captured Gabe screaming out, " Is baby Noah gonna take a bath in that big bowl?" in the middle of the ceremony!

First Annual Adam Thompson 5K Run/Walk

I have put off working on this post for some time now because it's still so difficult to think about losing Adam...because it's been over a year now but it's still just as painful as the day we put him to rest...but here goes...with my tissues in hand...

Around Christmas time, my mom got wind of a charity 5K, honoring a local Harford county woman that had passed... and her wheels started turning...  And anyone that knows my mom, knows that whenever she does something...she does it BIG!  So she was able to get together with some of the "race planning veterans" and she teamed up with Upper Chesapeake Memorial Hospital as well as Harford Community College... and with weekly meetings/e-mails/phone calls... the Adam Thompson 5K run/walk began to unfold...
Unlike Adam's funeral where everyone gathered to say "goodbye"... this day was filled with family and friends... gathering to celebrate and honor life.  Spite the gloomy weather with rain and slightly cool temps, this day was filled with lots of positive energy and was very uplifting...
OK, that's enough... I'm getting too emotional... let's just say it was a really cool day... one that I will always remember... and here are the pics :)

I believe the grand total raised from the race was somewhere in the $17,000 range...all of which was put into a scholarship to benefit Harford Community College students... and mark your calendars for April 28, 2012 for the 2nd annual Adam Thompson 5K Walk/Run!!!
