Hershey Park

We got a last minute invite to go to Hershey Park with friends and their 2 year old son. What fun!! Because it was sooooo hot, we decided to bypass the rides and we spent most of the day playing in the water park. Gabe had a blast! He didn't mind that the water was freezing and he didn't mind getting splashed in the face by other kids. He was his happy smiley self!

After the waterpark, all of the boys went on the carousel and then we headed to Chocolate World. YUM! We went on the chocolate tour and Gabe got his very first taste of Hershey's chocolate! Big Fan!

The time has come to pack up Gabe's baby swing. I think this is the last of the major baby items to pack up.

We could not have survived without this swing. Gabe has loved loved loved this thing from day one. For months, Gabe would only sleep if he was being held or in his swing. At night, we would tuck him in his swing and he would sleep for 6+ hours in this thing. We wasted lots and lots of batteries... until we got smart and purchased rechargeable ones!

He still loves this swing but it was time for it to go... we needed to make space for bigger and better things... fun things for little 1 year old monkeys to climb and play on!! Pictures of our little monkey in action will be coming soon...

Fun on the Boardwalk

Since I was soooo sick the last time we attempted to go to the beach...I needed a "redo"!! While spending some time in Salisbury, we decided to take a couple hours to go play on the boardwalk.

I thought maybe we would take Gabe on the carousel but then I saw this neat truck that I knew he would love! (He had to love it... one because he loves riding in his "car car" so of course he has to love riding in a cool truck... and two because he is completely obsessed with trucks these days!) In fact, Gabe's first official word ( besides mama and dada) is truck... or shall we say it is "UCK" .

Well, I was partially right... he did love the truck...

but only while it was still... once it started moving and making noise... he melted down and wanted out!

Shoulda gone with the carousel!

After riding on the truck, we went and played in the sand. While Gabe didn't love the big yellow truck, he did love the big yellow slide!

Oh yeah and we also discovered that Gabe is a big fan of funnel cake....Mmmmm so yummy!!

Another cutie turns ONE!

Julianna's mommy and I were pregnant, hot, and feeling miserable this time last year. We chatted regularly about how we couldn't wait to get these kiddos out!!

It's hard to believe that was an entire year ago. It's hard to believe that our babies are ONE! Julianna was born exactly two weeks after Gabriel...

These cuties got to meet one another when then were just a few weeks old...

and here we are now... celebrating Julianna's FIRST Birthday!

Of course, the party was a huge hit with Gabe...pretty girls, yummy food AND a ball pit!!! What more could a guy ask for?!?!

On a recent trip to Salisbury, we stumbled upon this picture of Andy with his older brother, James. Andy is about 13 months in this picture. What do you think... Is Gabe not a spitting image of his daddy!?!?

Play Ball....

While we haven't made it to an O's game this year... we did take Gabe to a minor league baseball game at the Ironbirds stadium.

As you can see, he had the best seat in the house!

A fun day at the park

Bananas

"Umm.... yeah mom... actually I DO eat bananas! "

As soon I posted his "12 month" post, saying he doesn't like bananas, he started eating them! We even put a little peanut butter on them sometimes! Yum!

Now we just need to get him to drink that whole milk... although it is getting better...

August 9th: My First Birthday!

Well my Birthday Party was Saturday August 7th, but my actual Birthday was Monday August 9th... and of course, it was another super fun day!

The day started by Mommy coming into my room and singing Happy Birthday.... I was so excited that I started jumping up and down and accidentally bumped my head on the crib! After lots of hugs and kisses, I got a phone call from my pop-pop jr... and he too sang me the Happy Birthday song! I just love that song!!!

After breakfast, Grammy came to see me! Because it was sooo hot, we decided to put our bathing suits on and head to the pool.... I had a blast swimming with mommy, daddy and grammy... my buddy Jackson even met me at the pool!!

I was so excited to swim and play with Daddy on a Monday!

We even had a picnic lunch at the pool!

Swimming sure did wipe me out! I came home and took a nap... and when I woke up, everyone was here to see me! Mommy made spaghetti for dinner!

After dinner, I got to open a couple presents! I got this super cool drum! I love to play my drum and I'm pretty good at it!

I played with my drum for a bit and the it was time for sugar deliciousness! Mmmmm, I love cake!!
