9 Months

9 months is fun! Lots of fun! Gabe really enjoys playing with his toys...although... you know the poor boy hardly has any toys at all ;) He is figuring out which buttons to press to make his toys come to life. He recently got a new toy box (or should I say mommy and daddy got a new leather ottoman that stores all of his toys) and he loves to stand at the "toy box" and pull all of his toys out.... but hands down... his favorite toy is his little red and yellow "car car". We go for several rides a day in this "car car" :)

He is also really starting to notice and pay attention to different things. One morning Andy had to leave early for a meeting and when Gabe woke up... he was no where to be found. Gabe seemed very confused by this and kept looking around for him and of course he repeatedly yelled for "dada". It's also neat to find him searching for that ringing cell phone or that chiming clock.

In addition to his playfulness and his growing curiosity, he is also becoming quite vocal. He babbles... a lot... and can get quite loud at times! I wish I knew what all of this chattering meant!

9 Nifty Things About Gabe

1. He has 6 teeth
2. He continues to nurse 4x/day and he eats an actual breakfast, lunch, and dinner... with an occasional snack of goldfish, mum mums (baby rice cakes), or yobaby (AKA baby crack)
3. He thinks Zoey is hilarious! Absolutely hilarious!
4. He is very outgoing and quite the charmer. While on a recent bus trip, Gabe had the entire bus swooning over him. He babbled away to the different people and of course he would squealed in delight when they interacted with him... and naturally everyone was oohing and ahhing over that silly little adorable grin of his.
5. He goes to bed at 7:30 pm and typically wakes around 06:30 am to nurse. On the good days he will eat and go back to bed until 08:00 am... on the other days... mommy is usually grumpy until she gets a large does of caffeine into her system!
6. He loves water! Bath water... pool water... doesn't matter! It all makes for some good splashing fun!
7. He still fits in his infant car seat... although it is quite heavy to lug around!
8. He wears 6-9 month clothes, weighs 17 lbs 4 oz, and is 28 1/2 inches long!
9. He is able to walk/run/dance while holding onto someone... and reverse crawl (haven't quite figured out how to go forward) He also is just starting to pull himself up from sitting to standing.
