He did it! Uncle Adam graduated high school!!! He graduated from North Harford High School on June 3, 2010. We couldn't be prouder :)

The graduate with his "oh so proud and relieved" parents

Gabe thought the tassel on his hat was pretty cool

His favorite part of the night.... a delicious snickerdoodle cookie!
Now on to the beach for Senior week... a summer full of lifeguarding... and Community College in the fall! Way to go Uncle Adam!

Memorial Weekend Fun!

This fun weekend was filled with food, family, and swimming! We spent Saturday with the Laatsch family... celebrating an engagement and a baby! Gabe even got his first taste of crabs on Saturday. YUM! Sunday was spent lounging poolside with family and on Monday we had a cookout and got to play on the "farm"! It was so nice to be off work and enjoy time with my family!
Gabe's first time swimming in an outdoor pool :)

There was a little girl at the pool that Gabe just thought was HILARIOUS!!! He loved when she would go under water and then pop back up!

Gabe started off the day with a t-shirt, bathing suit, swim diaper, and hat... but by the end of the day... he was skinny dipping!

Kicked back... eating appetizers in his cool chair! Swimming sure does work up an appetite.

Andy and I had fun hot rodding in the new Polaris. Always a new toy at the farm...

A Beautiful Friday with Grandparents!

Gabe is so lucky to have 4 sets of grandparents and 2 sets of great grandparents.... and they all live in Maryland! It doesn't get any better than that. The day started out as a typical Friday. Andy and I were working and Gabe was at "school"... but Andy decided to get a head start on his Memorial Day weekend and he picked Gabe up from "school" after lunch. They decided to go spend the afternoon playing with Gabe's Mom-mom, Pop-pop, and Pop-pop Jr. (PPJ). They had fun playing and relaxing outside and even enjoyed some dinner. From what I hear, Gabe is a big fan of Mom-mom's pasta :-) I was a little sad that I had to miss out on this special and absolutely beautiful day, but luckily Andy took lots of pictures and some videos too!

BFF fun...

Gabe has really been having a lot of fun lately with his buddy Jackson! Here are some pictures from some of our "playdates" :-)

Gabe was very adament on wanting to hold Jackson's hand. Luckily, Jackson was a good sport about it!

Oh boys and their cars....

Until next time itty bitty baby carseat...

This past weekend we said "until next time" to Gabe's baby carseat and goodbye to the convenience of being able to quickly pop him in and out of the car.
This picture was taken August 11, 2009 on Gabe's "coming home" day and it was his very first time in his carseat.
So itty bitty....

9 1/2 months later...not so itty bitty!

We have the Britax Boulevard carseat for Mommy's car.

We bought the Britax Roundabout 50 for Daddy's car. (Don't forget to send in the recall notification card mom!)

and the Graco ComfortSport for Grammy's car... which he didn't seem to love. (Or it could of been from his ear infection. Yes, I said ear infection...another ear infection... his third ear infection!)

The future musician

From day one Gabe has had a great love for music. When he was first born he had to be inside of an isolette, under the phototherapy lights, for his jaundice. He would cry and unfortunately I wasn't able to pick him up and comfort him... so I would place his little seahorse inside his isolette and it would play music for him. He would stop crying immediately.

Music is also the only way we can survive car rides... it has to be playing and boy does he get mad when Daddy turns off the radio to talk on his phone!! I remember riding in the car with Gabe when he was just a few weeks old and playing the Rascal Flats CD over and over because it was the only thing that kept him from screaming... and now that he is a big 9 monther he sings right along. It is so cute to hear him "singing" from the back seat :) (oh and Mommy and Gabe are more into Lady GaGa and Jay-Z these days)

We also sing lots of silly songs. There isn't a day that goes by that we don't sing "Old McDonald Had a Farm" or "The Wheels on the Bus"... he is just instant smiles and giggles when you sing to him (and the best part is he doesn't even mind when you sing waaaaay off key). When we are not singing silly songs, you can find me and Gabe dancing around the house (like nuts) to various tunes off of my ipod.

This morning I captured some pictures of Gabe playing with one of his favorite musical toys.... his piano! Gabe has loved this piano since he was an itty bitty newborn. We used to keep it in his pack n play and he would kick it and make it play... He used to lay in there and play his piano for a good hour each morning (which was great b/c it gave mommy some time to let that coffee kick in) This piano was a great investment, as it has "bought" me several hours of sleep and I highly recommend it to every mommy!!

Rock on Gabe :)

Double the Fun!

Last weekend Andy and I did a little yard saleing and we found the steal of the century. Gabe is one lucky little boy! He now is the proud owner of not one but two "car cars"! We found this second car for $5! We couldn't not buy it!! I will just order two recall repair kits :) and maybe Gabe's Gramps will let him park his second car in his basement. Then Gabe will have a car to play with when he visits Salisbury!
Holy Smokes...there are two cars mom!

Mother's Day Flower

The Friday before Mother's Day, Gabe came home from "school" with a little flower for me. A small little purple flower, planted with love in a plastic dixie cup. We've been wanting to plant this little flower in our garden but it just kept raining and raining.... finally we had a perfect day! A beautiful, sunny, 75 degree day. Together Gabe and I planted the flower in the garden and Gabe even sprinkled water on it with his little watering can. It was such a nice special mommy and Gabe moment.

Ta Da! Our pretty purple flower!
It sure looks purty!
Mama and Gabe checking it out...

I was so proud of us for planting this little flower! I am typically known as a "plant killer". No green thumb here... So of course I wanted to take pictures and document this special moment. I sat Gabe down by our flower and reached for my camera.... and when I turned back around... this is what I saw....

He fell over.... ON OUR FLOWER!!!
Yup, that's our flower peaking out from underneath him... and that is me standing over him, taking a picture. Luckily, he was not hurt... just dirty!

The aftermath...notice all of the purple flowers fell off!

Guess I'm not the only "plant killer" in the family.

Fells Point

When Andy said, "What do you want to do today?" I replied with, "Um, go to Fells Point and walk around." Within 20 minutes of saying that, we had the car loaded up... and were on our way to Fells Point. Who says you can't be spontaneous with a baby!?!

We packed a lunch and had a little picnic as we looked out onto the harbor. We reminisced about how the last time we were in Fells, I was 38 weeks pregnant... hot and feeling miserable. We remembered sitting on that very same bench and watching the boats go by... and the next day, Gabe was born!

Gabe really wasn't that impressed by the boats... he was more into the tortilla chips ;)
After our picnic, we walked around and did some shopping... but Gabe felt this was rather boring... so he settled in his stroller for a nice snooze. So with Gabe asleep in his stroller, Andy and I decided to take advantage of this "adult" time and grab a drink. We found a nice table outside and sat back and relaxed on this beautiful day, with a beer in hand ;) Gabe woke up from his nap just in time for some vanilla chocolate chip gelato!
Big Fan!!
