For the last 3 years, Andy and I have taken a trip to Washington DC. We always go the first week in April because we enjoy seeing the beautiful cherry blossoms in all their glory. Our all time favorite spots is this amazing tulip garden, located right by the tidal basin (where all the beautiful cherry blossoms trees are lined up)

Of course this year was extra special because we had Gabe with us. We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful day. After walking around for a bit...we found a nice shady spot...under the cherry blossoms of course... and had a picnic lunch. We spread out a big blanket... kicked off our shoes... and had some nice family time in this beautiful setting.

It was difficult to capture this is in the photos... but the cherry blossoms were falling all around us... just like snow. Absolutely beautiful!
Of course, Gabe wanted to eat the tulips...
Gabe's first ride on public transportation...he was too worn out to enjoy it though!
Andrew has worn many shades of green over the last 3 years : ) Gabe is getting way too big!!!!
