Tubes alas!

After having ear infections approximately every 3 weeks... after countless nights of him waking up screaming... after countless hours of rocking a sick baby... after consuming numerous bottles of tylenol and motrin... after fighting dozens of fevers... after hours spent in the doctors office... and after developing an allergy to penicillin... it was time!!!!

Time to say goodbye to these nasty nasty ear infections!

Mommy was actually excited for this day ;)

Gabe did great! He was in and out of surgery in less than 15 minutes. In fact, the recovery nurse said he was the only toddler she had seen standing up, bouncing around in the crib... being wheeled from surgery to recovery! (Of course, that would be my wild child!!)

The hardest part of the whole day was denying his countless request for milk prior to surgery. Poor guy couldn't have anything to eat or drink that morning... and he tried using every word he knew to communicate to us that he wanted his breakfast!!

"Milk", "Juice", "Brefast", "Eat", "Snack", "Waffle", "Cookie", "Popsicle"! It broke my heart to tell him no :( But he survived and ate an entire bag of animal crackers in post-op!

We brought him home and he was back to his normal energetic, demanding, drama king self :)

And knock on wood.... we've been healthy since! WAHOO!
